Hi I'm Rob, Husband to MrsW and Father to 3 children (Big W, Thin Controller and small W). I started this blog after running the London Marathon in 2005 and mainly talked about my attempts at running. In November 2005 I was diagnosed with depression and spent 2 months off work. To say this was a shock to me is an understatement.

Cardiac Drift Test

Read an article by Windsurfing Susie about cardiac drift sometime ago and wanted to test how long I could hold a steady HR at a target rate of 8 min/mile.

Used a loop of 1.3 miles which also happens to be almost flat. This is what I came up with

LappaceAve HR
1 (inc warm up)8:17155
27:57156
37:54159
48:00161
warm down8:12161

Total was 6.04 miles in 48:37 with an overall average HR of 158 and pace 8:03.

I'm not too sure what to make of it and I'm too tired to think about it now. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
